Cinema

I am a big fan of cinema either in theater (my investment in an unlimited access pass has proven very worthy) or on the small screen. I watch French and American productions obviously but also European and other international movies.

My favorite movies include works of directors such as Terrence Malick, Darren Aronofsky, Stanley Kubrick and also, in a ery different style, works from studio Ghibli.

Litterature

Although I usually don’t have enough time for it, litterature is one of my primary areas of interest.

When I talk about litterature, it is in a very broad sense. Indeed, even though I do like some classics (I even occasionally enjoy reading some philosophical essay or ancient text), most of my interest goes to science fiction and fantasy. I am particularly keen on authors from the golden age of science fiction such as Isaac Asimov or Arthur C. Clarke. But I am even more facinated by amazing universe created by J.R.R. Tolkien

Without being exhaustive, I have been trying to keep track of my reading on Babelio lately.

Genealogy

I discovered genealogy during my internship at Geneanet.

Although I am not really passionate about this, I may still spend some hours researching my ancestry every now and then. I guess that more than an actual interest in the detail of my ancestors, what I find appealing in genealogy is the investigative work as well as the historical details you can discover in some documents.

Once more, the details of my research are available on my profile.

Video games

I must admit I have not really been spending much time on video games lately. This is probably due to a lack of time as well as my decision to move from Windows to Linux. However, I still find some occasions to play to some sandbox or survival games (Minecraft, Project Zomboid, Rising World…) or even strategy games (Civilization, Stellaris).

In addition, I have kept a strong interest in games from Bethesda (The Elder Scrolls, Fallout) and Bioware (Mass Effect) even though I no longer actually play these games.

Finally, I leave you with some links to website or YouTube channels I ten to follow. Feel free to have a look at it, you may find some interesting content.

Youtube

Unfortunately, many of these channels are only hosting French content so I guess most of you will not be able to understand it. Sorry !
